ABCC honored its new Diplomates at a reception on July 20, 2009 in Chicago. ABCC President Dr. John Howe presided over the ceremony and Exam Vice President Dr. David Grenache distributed pins to the new Diplomates. The 30 new Diplomates in clinical chemistry included many who benefited from the change in experience requirements for ComACC trained scientists. The 6 new Diplomates in molecular diagnostics included Dr. Robert White who is now certified in all three scientific specialties. Support for the reception was provided by Beckman-Coulter, Bio-Rad Laboratories, Nova Biomedical, and Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics.
